Share. Support. Grow.
Legal Executives New Zealand Rāngai Hāpai Ture o Aotearoa (LENZ) is a professional body established in 1975. It governs the registration and conduct of Registered Legal Executives in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Task
Promoting unity, cooperation and mutual assistance among legal executives. We were charged with upgrading the existing (but outdated) identity. Established almost 5o years ago, LENZ is a modern and inclusive professional body and wanted an image to better reflect the institute and its membership base – supportive, connected, approachable and energetic.
Gathering design direction from a member survey, the symbol is constructed from three strands, reminiscence of harakiki, which loop and weave together – with each strand representing the organisations aim to share, support and grow.
The stylised L and E embedded into the symbol pays homage to, and directly reflects the long history Legal Executives and the institute have in Aotearoa New Zealand. This is supported with the inclusion of a new Māori name.
