Kai for people, Kai for Life.
Titahi Food with Freedom originates from the coastal town of Titahi Bay, where the community has a rich cultural history of gathering and sharing food.
Task
We created a look and feel that would capture the love of gathering together around great-tasting food. Our approach was bold and simple, just like their kai. Made in small-batches, hand-made and free of gluten, dairy, cane sugar and unhealthy fats. Kai for people, Kai for Life.
The logo relies on a strong typographical approach, distinctive and welcoming. The stylised ‘A’ is reminiscent of a pataka (storehouse), where the horizontal post (papa kiore) leads into the store were foods like kumara and seeds were kept safe.
